Quick start

Create an account, open a project, and generate an API key pair.
Send both headers on every request. The key names your project, the secret proves it is you.
Every response is JSON. Rate limits apply per plan, per minute.

Keep the live secret on your server. Never ship it in browser or mobile code.

Getting product and record ids

Search endpoints return the identifiers the detail endpoints need. Every product item from products.search and producthunt.products.search carries global_id, source_pk and title. Pass any of the three as the product_id path parameter on products.get, products.history, products.sentiment and the other product detail endpoints.

Record ids work the same way: search results carry global_id and source_pk, and record detail endpoints accept either. Numeric ids resolve to the earliest matching product record, so pass the full global_id when exactness matters.
